2. Lĩnh vực Vi sinh:

Dịch tễ học phân tử nhiễm trùng các virus cúm và các virus gây nhiễm trùng hô hấp, các Enterovirus gây bệnh tay chân miệng, virus dengue gây sốt xuất huyết, HPV gây ung thư cổ tử cung và u nhú tình dục.
Dịch tễ học phân tử và chẩn đoán các vi khuẩn gồm vi khuẩn lao (Mycobacteria tuberculosis và lao kháng thuốc, liên cầu lợn (Streptococus suis), chẩn đoán và nghiên cứu đột biến kháng thuốc của các vi khuẩn Helicobacter pylori… chẩn đoán phân tử các Mycoplasma gây nhiễm trùng đường sinh dục.
Phát triển/Áp dụng các kỹ thuật phân tử để xác định các vi khuẩn và virus nhiễm trùng mới và tái xuất hiện.
Ứng dụng sinh học phân tử trong định danh loài vi khuẩn bằng kỹ thuật giải trình tự gen và genome vi sinh vật
Các vi khuẩn gây nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện: dịch tễ học lâm sàng, dịch tễ học phân tử, tính kháng thuốc của các vi khuẩn gây nhiễm khuẩn bệnh viện như MRSA, E. coli, Ps. aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, E. coli, MRSA.
Phát triễn các cơ sở dữ liệu khoa học, công cụ khai phá dữ liệu trên các nền tảng điện toán đám mây phục vụ nghiên cứu khoa học, khám và chữa bệnh.
